  • Travel back to the universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender with the new Legend of Korra graphic novel series. Artist Brittney Williams is joining writer and co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino for the all new series starting in late 2016.
  • Anne Szabla's popular webcomic Bird Boy is coming to Dark Horse. The series will have its print debut in a graphic novel collection titled Bird Boy: The Sword of Mali Mani and will be available May 18, 2016.

  • Action Cat is back! Art Baltazar and Franco are bringing the Aw Yeah! Comics flagship character back for an upcoming four issue mini-series. Aw Yeah Comics: Action Cat! will be released in March 2016.

  • Writer Brian Wood and artist Tristan Jones are creating a new ongoing Aliens series, just in time to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary. Aliens: Defiance #1 is in stores April 27, 2016.
  • The How to Train Your Dragon universe is expanding with the announcement of new original graphic novels from Dark Horse Comics. Co-written by How to Train Your Dragon director Dean DeBlois and Richard Hamilton, writer of Dragons: Race to the Edge; the first graphic novel How to Train Your Dragon: The Serpent's Heir arrives in 2016.

  • Writer Faith Erin Hicks and artist Yishan Li are taking Buffy The Vampire Slayer back to school in a new original graphic novel. Joss Whedon will executive produce the story, titled Buffy: The High School Years - Freaks and Geeks.
  • In a partnership with James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment, Dark Horse Comics will bring the universe of Avatar to comics. An exclusive annoucment video was released by Entertainment Weekly.
  • Award-winning writer Mariko Tamaki will bring Lara Croft back to her tomb raiding roots in a new Tomb Raider comic series, set to hit stands in February 2016.

  • Fan-favorite writer Van Jensen is heading an all new lineup of creator-driven series to release in 2016. Coming in May 2016, Cryptocracy pairs Jensen with artist Pete Woods; Two Dead, with artist Nate Powell will follow in September 2016.

  • Lone Wolf 2100 will return as an four issue mini-series from writer Eric Heissereer and artist Miguel Sepulveda. Lone Wolf 2100 #1 will arrive in stores January 6, 2016.

  • Dark Knight Returns will have a one-shot prequel arriving in stores February 2016 to tie into the release of Dark Knight III: The Master Race. The 48-page comic will feature art by John Romita Jr and is co-written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello.

  • Writer Tom Taylor and artist Robson Rocha will collaborate on an upcoming arc of Batman/Superman. Yanick Paquette will provide covers for the arc expected to be in stores in 2016.
  • Tom Taylor will also be tackling the follow up to Green Lantern: Lost Army in Green Lantern: The Edge of Oblivion along with artist Ethan Van Sciver. Find out what happened to the Green Lantern Corps as they were trapped in the universe before our own.

  • Sophie Campbell is returning to the hit new series Jem and the Holograms for the next story arc along with writer Kelly Thompson. Jem and the Holograms #6 will introduce Dark Jem, an original character created for the comic series.
  • The seminal IDW series is returning,; 30 Days of Night is back in 2016 with original writer Steve Niles and artist Gabriel Rodriguez. The new series will be called simply 30 Days and will reinvent and recreate the series.
  • Launching in January, writer Erik Burnham and artist Dan Schoening take the Ghostbusters around the world. Ghostbusters International will pick up after Ghostbusters: Get Real and follow the globetrotting 'busters.

  • The creative teams for Micronauts and Rom The Space Knight have been revealed! Writer Cullen Bunn and artist David Baldeon will bring the world of the Micronauts to life, while writers Chris Ryall and Christo Gage will pair with artists David Messina and Paolo Villanelli to bring Rom back to comics.

  • Currently one of Marvel's most popular characters, Captain Marvel is making the leap to prose. Shannon and Dean Hale will be writing the young adult novel about Carol Danvers and her adventures.
  • The Spider-Women are getting tangled in a new crossover set to release in 2016. Spider-Woman and Silk will be stuck in Spider-Gwen's alternate reality in this upcoming event.

  • Crazy animal hijinks are coming, Howard the Duck and Squirrel Girl are crossing over! Ryan North, Erica Henderson, Chip Zdarsky, and Joe Quinones are teaming up to get this book to stores in Spring 2016.

  • Get a closer look at the relationship between two of the biggest characters in Star Wars with the upcoming series, Obi-Wan and Anakin. Writer Charles Soule and artist Marco Checcheto bring this story to life in January 2016.

  • The first post-Secret Wars crossover for the Avengers has been announced! Avengers: Standoff! takes place in the community of Pleasent Hill after the residents revolt. As the Avengers are brought in to calm the town, dark secrets come to light about what this town is really for. Written by Nick Spencer with art by Jesus Saiz, the series will kick off in March and cross through Avengers titles.

  • Artist Hendry Prasetya will join writer Kyle Higgins in 2016 to take on the new Power Rangers comic series. Each issue will also feature backup Bulk and Skull stories by writer Steve Orlando.

  • Fan-favorite characters Red Sonja, Vampirella, and Dejah Thoris are undergoing bold new redesigns and updates. With new costumes created by Nicola Scott and new creative teams, this is a bold direction for the clasic heroines. Writer Marguerite Bennett and artist Aneke will debut Red Sonja #1 in January 2016.

  • Shaft is back, and he's badder then ever in a new series by author David F. Walker and artist Dietrich Smith. Shaft: Imitation of Life will hit stores in February along side Shaft's Revenge, the first Shaft prose novel in 40 years.

  • The "Biggest Attack on Titan Manga Announcement Ever" panel lived up to it's title, revealing an upcoming Attack on Titan Anthology with 250 pages of all-new art and original stories set in the AoT Universe created by top Western comic creators. The anthology will include the work of Faith Erin Hicks, Michael Oeming, Gail Simone, Scott Snyder, Kevin Wada, Ron Wimberly, and more.

  • An all new, first of its kind variant line is coming to Valiant begining in January 2016 with the first issue of the Fiath mini-series. The Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) and Valiant will be releasing variant covers spotlighting the heroes of the Valiant Universe encased in an ink-on-paper reproduction of a CGC "slab".

  • Long-time Ultimate Spider-Man artist David Lafuente has signed an exclusive artist for Valiant. His first project for the company will be a new take on Archer and Armstrong with writer Rafer Roberts. Titled A&A, the new series will release in March 2016.
