(BALTIMORE, MD) — (February 17, 2012) — The March edition of Diamond Comic Distributors’ PREVIEWS catalog arrives in comic shops, hobby stores, and other specialty outlets on February 29 and features comic books, graphic novels, toys, and other pop culture merchandise scheduled to go on sale beginning May 2012.
The newest catalog features a front cover spotlighting Image Comics’ MIND THE GAP, a new psychological thriller from Eisner Award-winning writer Jim McCann (Return of the Dapper Men) and artists Rodin Esquejo (Morning Glories) and Sonia Oback (The Defenders). Already called an “anxiously anticipated modern thriller” by USA Today, this new ongoing comic book series begins with Elle Peterssen trapped in a coma after being attacked on a subway platform. The only clues to the perpetrator’s identity are now trapped in her mind, and everyone is a suspect.
March’s back cover features DC Comics’ BATMAN: EARTH ONE original graphic novel from the fan-favorite Action Comics creative team of writer Geoff Johns and illustrator Gary Frank that modernizes and re-imagines the origins of The Dark Knight. The previous entry in this line, Superman: Earth One, was critically acclaimed and has become a perennial bestseller. Those that enjoyed that book and are interested in a new take on Batman’s story won’t want to miss this new graphic novel.
