How was your FCBD event? Great! The line was long, and sales were very good.
What aspect of your store makes you the most proud? What we give to the local community. We work closely with local businesses and stay involved in our community.
What has been your best in-store promotion? Our toy show featuring customized, DIY figures.
What has been your best out-of-store or cross-promotion? We work with a local coffee shop for the Inland Empire Zine Fest in Redlands, CA. The Fest is like a small convention where small publishers and artists set up at tables in the alley behind our store and promote their books. The Inland Empire’s Zine Fest brings together and supports all aspects of the D.I.Y. community. It is a fun time.
What recent changes have you made in the store? We doubled our space for back issues and continue making interior display changes.
What are your plans for the near future? Continue to incorporate an art gallery in the store.
How did you choose your store name? Our shop used to be called "Comic Quest" and people started calling us as a term of endearment “A Shop Called Quest,” so we kept the name as a play on our original name.
