How was your Halloween ComicFest event? We have a big event planned, and I’m sure it will be outstanding.
What has been your best promotion or event? It has to be Free Comic Book Day.
What recent changes have you made in the store? We had been using drawer boxes for our back issues, but with the wear and tear impacted on them daily, we had to upgrade them to more of a fixture and had stronger bins specially made.
What steps have you taken to expand your customer base or to reach out to individuals unfamiliar with your store or comics in general? Really it’s just visibility. Our location downtown is on a busy artery and near a LRT transit stop, which really helps to bring in new customers.
What are your plans for the near future? We would like to squeeze out more space within our existing location, and for that, we may have to go up, raising the ceiling several feet. We would also like to have a bigger online presence.
How did you choose your store name? It was actually the existing name when I bought the store back in 1983, and I kept the name partly because it was early in the phonebook, which was important in those days.
What superpower would you most like to have? Immortality.
