How was your Halloween ComicFest event? It was really good. It sort of kicked off the addition of comics at this location. We had activities for kids set up including Find the Ghost and several coloring stations.
What has been your best promotion or event? Our Magic the Gathering pre-release events are always fantastic. Halloween ComicFest was very good, and of course there’s Free Comic Book Day.
What recent changes have you made in the store? We added comics and manga to this location. We have really embraced the store’s community and sales have grown quicker than anticipated.
What steps have you taken to expand your customer base or to reach out to individuals unfamiliar with your store or comics in general? We are participating in as many of the industry events as we can. Social media has been big and the Comic Shop Locator Service has helped quite a bit.
What are your plans for the near future? We will slowly expand into more merchandise. First and foremost is establishing the store as both a comics and game store, and not just a game store that happens to carry comics.
How did you choose your store name? It is a hybrid of a couple of businesses from over the years, Dreamer’s Games and online site Lotus Vault.
What superpower would you most like to have? Telekinesis
